Danielle attended Perth Modern School before completing her Bachelor of Music degree in
Trombone Performance (with Simone de Haan) at the Canberra School Of Music, Australian National University.
Upon graduation, she received a Hungarian Government scholarship which enabled her to study and achieve her Diploma at the Kodály Institute in Keckemét, Hungary before returning to Canberra in 1988 where she was appointed
Lecturer in Early Childhood Music at the Canberra School Of Music.
In 1994 Danielle moved to Hobart, where she founded the Young Conservatorium Program
at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music.
With a new young family,
Danielle returned to Perth in 1998 to establish Cottage School Of Music Junior.
2009 saw Danielle release Cantaris, an early childhood music resource site for parents and teachers.
In that year she also wrote and performed a series of orchestral concerts for children
with the Fremantle Symphony Orchestra, based on the Cottage Junior classes.
These were performed for the following three years.
Danielle presented a class with pre-school children from the International School in Beijing
at the 2010 ISME World Conference and was key presenter at the inaugural
Kodály Symposium in Perth that year.
