We aim to provide a beautiful musical experience for every child and family involved in Cottage School of Music Junior.
Our prime focus is to provide a quality and high level of learning for each child enrolled in the program.
We appreciate parents' understanding of the following to assist in the smooth running of our classes.
Siblings At Class
Babies and siblings are always very welcome in our teaching room to watch our classes;
however, babies and siblings may not take part in the class or be brought into the class circle.
Where possible, we ask that a carer separate from the participating carer
look after any unattended siblings.
As this is not always possible, we ask that parents attend to siblings out of the class circle.
This is a legal safety requirement of our classes and we are unable to make any exceptions at any time.
We wish to cause no embarrassment or distress to any families,
and we thank all parents very much for their understanding in this regard.
Aural and Visual Recordings Of Classes
No video or aural recordings may be taken of the classes - thank you.
This is to respect the privacy of all enrolled families and copyright of all recorded material used in class.
We thank you for your understanding.
Distractions In Class
Please switch off all mobile phones during class - thank you.
We have a beautiful Cottage community of over two hundred families per term, with many families becoming friends and catching up during, before and after class.
We ask all parents to not engage in long chats when class is in progress -
particularly during our craft listening activities -
as we are focusing on the children developing their skills in quiet listening.
Prolonged chatting in the quieter parts of our lessons is distracting for the children and other enrolled families.
We mean no offence - and thank you so much for your understanding.
If a participating child or their sibling is distressed or uncomfortable for a prolonged period during class,
we ask parents to comfort them in any of the rooms adjoining our teaching room,
or in the beautiful grounds of Drabble House or Bold Park Community School.
Our main focus always is for the peaceful and quality learning of all children enrolled in the classes.
Thank you again for your understanding.
